Step 1: Search for the Snipping Tool in the Windows search box, and open it.

Simplest way to capture screenshot
The simplest way to capture a screenshot is to press the Windows Key and the ‘PrntScr’ (Print Screen) button together. It is usually located in the top row near the function keys. A save box will appear. Save the image wherever you want to, giving a file name to the image. Then press the tab ‘Save’.
Capture screenshots using Alt+PrntScr
Similar to the method mentioned above, this option copies the active window; the screen on which you’re working. Press the ‘PrntScr’ button with the ‘Alt’ key to take a screenshot.
Take a screenshot of a specific portion using Windows key+Shift+S
To capture a specific portion on the screen, you need to press these three keys together- Windows, Shift+S. This will dim the screen and also change the mouse pointer to drag, allowing you to select the portion you want to capture. The screenshot will then be copied to the clipboard.
Save the screenshot directly using Windows key + PrntScr
In case you don’t want to copy the screenshot to the clipboard, you can use a shortcut command, Windows key + PrntScr, on your Windows laptop to save it as an image file. Pressing these keys will take a screenshot and save it in the ‘Pictures’ folder.

This option is most popular among gamers. Players can press the two keys; Windows and G, together for a game overlay. Then, click on the camera icon or press Windows key + Alt + PrntScr to take a screenshot.

MacOS laptops also have a variety of options to take a screenshot. The easiest way to take a screenshot on a macOS laptop is to simply press Command+Shift+3. Pressing these three keys together will capture a still of the entire screen.
Command+Shift+4 is an advanced command that lets you capture a specific portion of the screen.
By invoking the keys, Command+Shift+5, you can easily capture a screenshot on macOS laptops. This option gives you a free hand over the screenshot. You can simply press the ‘enter’ key or select the option, ‘Capture selected portion’ from the small panel below.
Similarly, Command+Shift+6. This option is only available for the MacBook version with a touch bar. All the screenshots taken on macOS laptops will be stored on your desktop by default.
